the video reminds me of my childhood memories with my father: i learned to play sports, ride a bike, and fly a kite with him. with a supportive father like him, i have to agree that things are indeed better with dads. happy father's day to all fathers, whether biological or sacerdotal in nature!

i still own and keep a jason kidd rookie card from fleer 1994-1995. the frustrated point guard in me looks up to him as one of my basketball heroes (besides michael jordan, david robinson, charles barkley, and amare stoudamire) and the reason why i wear jersey #5.

congratulations, jason kidd. future hall of famer. now, nba champion.

"jumpman" logo is a registered trademark of jordan brand. obviously, i don't own it. but i placed a small while dot around the collar area. makes sense?

i'm back! with a new blog, that is.

to mark my return to the seminary and blogosphere, i am creating this blog entitled "preacher in basketball shoes."

so, why the title "preacher in basketball shoes"? well, beneath the soutane is a basketball jersey and a pair of basketball shoes. as a basketball enthusiast, we can talk about basketball all day. and as a seminarian, i might as well include philosophy and theology in the mix. sometimes they do blend together quite well, like puto dipped in dinuguan. but that's another story.
